The video at the center of the controversy appears to show Gonzalez speaking about an arrest while repeatedly using racial slurs to describe a Black individual. Before joining the police force, Gonzalez served in the United States Marine Corps from 2019 to 2023, achieving the rank of Corporal and working as a motor vehicle operator.
