Issac Griffin Sullivan County, TENN Accident: Family And Friends Mourns Tragic Death
Authorities have confirmed the identity of the victim in a tragic drowning at South Holston Lake as 18-year-old Issac Griffin of Duffield, Virginia.
According to the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred Thursday evening around 7:30 p.m. near a pull-off along Highway 421 close to Shady Ford Road. Witnesses reported that Griffin entered the water and quickly went under without resurfacing, prompting an immediate emergency response.
Deputies and rescue crews launched a rapid search operation focused on the area of the lake where he was last seen. After an intensive effort, Griffin was located in the water, but despite recovery attempts, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
